Upower acknowledges that our program sites reside on the unceded ancestral lands of the Duwamish People. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the Duwamish Tribe.

We had a blast meeting new youth and connecting with the community this summer!

By the Numbers for Summer 2022

Curriculum Rollout:

Upower staff have spent the last year developing a new Upower Curriculum and we are scheduled to implement new curriculum September 19, 2022.

Program Evaluation:

Along with Upower’s new curriculum, we will be implementing evaluation tools to perform an organization-wide evaluation to analyze our efforts in providing access to the benefits of physical activity to underserved youth. We have tied our evaluation standards to Washington State OSPI Health & Physical Education standards: wellness, social emotional health, and physical education.

Upower is excited to announce that we have made Yesler a year round site along with our new approval to start back up programming at Renacer
